Composite geomembrane is widely used in channel seepage prevention engineering. In recent years, geosynthetic materials have been widely used in civil engineering, especially in flood control and rescue engineering, and their results have attracted great attention from engineers and technicians. For the application technology of geosynthetic materials, from seepage prevention, filtration, drainage, reinforcement, protection and other aspects, put forward normative technical requirements, greatly speed up the pace of application of new materials. This material has been widely used in the seepage prevention project of irrigation area. Combined with the construction practice, the application technology of composite geomembrane is discussed.

Matters needing attention in construction

(1) Use must be embedded: the covering thickness should not be less than 30cm

(2) Repair anti-seepage system should be: cushion, anti-seepage layer, transition layer, protective layer composition.

(3) The soil should be solid, avoid uneven settlement, cracks, anti-seepage range of sod, roots to remove. Sand or clay with small particle size is laid on the contact surface of the film as a protective layer.

(4) when laying geomembrane do not pull too tight, both ends of the buried soil part into the corrugated shape is better, especially with rigid material anchorage, should leave a certain amount of expansion.

(5) During construction, stones should be avoided, heavy objects should be directly hit on the geomembrane, side construction, side laying film, side covering protective layer

Construction method

Composite geomembrane in the process of transportation do not drag, hard pull, avoid sharp stab.

1, from the bottom to the high extension, do not pull too tight, should leave 1.50% of the remaining width, for local subsidence tensile. Taking into account the actual situation of the project, the slope is laid from top to bottom.

2, adjacent two longitudinal joints should not be in a horizontal line, should be staggered more than 1m;

3, the longitudinal joint should be more than 1.50m away from the dam foot, elbow foot, should be located on the plane;

4, the first slope bottom;

5, slope laying, film direction should be basically parallel to the slope line.
